Grapevine, TX, takes tremendous pride and joy in making the
town an experience rather than simply a place to live or visit. Its
historic Main Street is a quaint place for a stroll and is the home of ‘mom and
pop’ businesses which know each other and work together to keep the town
vibrant.
In fact, Grapevine is so vibrant, it’s called The Christmas
Capital of Texas. Other than the North Pole, it’s hard to find a place
that is more enthusiastic about showing its love of Christmas.
But, no matter the time of year, Grapevine offers so much to
do for people of all ages.
It is home to nearly a dozen wineries (hence its name) and a
few craft beer breweries. Grapevine offers
festivals throughout the year like Mainfest and Grapefest when the town
closes Main Street to vehicular traffic and live bands play throughout the
weekend festivals.
The Botanical Gardens is a beautiful
visit. They hold an outdoor summer concert series. Just
bring a few chairs or a lawn blanket.
Grapevine Lake is another destination for fun. You’ll
find trails for walking or you can rent a kayak from Lonestar Adventure
Sports. If you’d rather have a drink and view the lake, you can
‘bring your own’ to Big Daddy’s and enjoy their shrimp boil. On Friday
evenings, you’ll get a great view of the fireworks. For an upscale
feel, view the lake from The Glass Cactus and get your funk on when the disco
opens.
In the winter, the Gaylord Texan has its annual ice
sculpture show which brings artists from all over the world. You’ll be
given a parka if you go, but you will still want to bundle up (it’s below zero
in there). In the heat of the summer, you may opt to visit the Great Wolf
Lodge which has an indoor/outdoor water park.
Grapevine is also a draw for its schools which are top rated
(see www.greatschools.org).
Grapevine runs so well, in part, because of its very active
Chamber of Commerce -but its character comes from its residents who love to
live there.
Grapevine gives back to the community through GRACE
(Grapevine Relief and Community Exchange).
Cross Creek Ranch at Grapevine,
TX is a quaint community of luxurious apartments located in
Grapevine. It backs up to woods that surrounds a two- mile
walking trail. You'll hear crickets chirping at night and birds
chirping in the morning. Upon entering, you may be greeted by cattle who
live across the street.
Despite its serenity, it is surprisingly easy to access roadways
for commuting like 121, 635 and 114. Preston Road in Dallas is
twenty minutes away. Grapevine Mills Mall is within walking distance where
you can catch movie night at AMC Theaters. Of course, you can be at
Main Street in about five minutes.
The community offers a fully equipped gym, an indoor half
basketball court, business center, club house, and swimming
pool. Apartments are appointed with granite or quartz countertops,
stainless steel appliances, sizeable balconies, faux hardwood flooring and
9' ceilings. Come by to visit with us to see what Cross Creek at Grapevine
has to offer.
